A pleasant half-day excursion alternating between the regenerative shade of the woods with panoramic points overlooking Val d'Agide and the Dolomites.
This excursion is extremely varied and offers multiple places to stop and have a break: the refuges with typical dishes upon arrival, a sun-kissed malga mountain hut along the way, a panoramic terrace over the Dolomites and the historic Mendola Pass. There are no technical difficulties or any major differences in altitude but you still need to be quite fit to tackle the just under 14 km-long trail.
The view from Mount Penegal is even more amazing from the early afternoon, when the sun is high or behind you and lights up the Dolomites in all their splendour.
