Would you like to visit a small but charming interactive museum dedicated solely to water? Then why not visit the Casa dell’Acqua, the “House of Water”, in the heart of the ancient village of Fondo.
Here, you can learn lots of fascinating facts about the importance of this natural resource for humans and the their environment, see the most beautiful images of the lakes and rivers of the Val di Non and learn about the close history between Fondo, water and its canyons.
The Casa dell’Acqua is comprised of six different areas, each devoted to a different theme: from the geological story of the creation and evolution of the water resources of the Val di Non, with the formation of its famous canyons, to interviews recounting the history of water.
Many of the areas are dedicated to families and children: sustainable houses, stories of water, playing with the acoustic showers, the interactive panel on how a hydroelectric power station works, rocks and geological maps, the canyons, etc. Many devices use the latest technology: interactive plastic, a 4k film on waterways and audio about the journey of water through the valley, along with stop-motion video animations. Tour of Casa dell'Acqua include a visit to the Mulino Bertagnolli.
