Malga Kessel stands at 1917 metres on the famous Malghe delle Maddalene loop.
It is a small construction entirely made of wood which stands at the foot of the Vedetta Alta peak. From the Hofmand car park you can reach Kesselalm on foot in 45 minutes.
For years it has been run by Heidi, who prepares typical South Tyrolean dishes every day from the beginning of June to the end of October. In winter, on the other hand, the malga opens only for small groups by reservation, so please contact her on +39 338 6774402.
The malga is open on Easter, Easter Monday, April 25th, and May 1st, depending on the weather. Open every day from June 1st to All Saints' Day.
