The hut is run by two young people and is open in summer. In winter, however, it is open for groups only by reservation. The Malga di Fondo is one of the few huts in the area that also has beds and therefore offers the possibility to make a holiday in the alps.
Its real strength is the alpine cheese which came first in the last two food and wine festivals “Formai dal Mont. ” In addition to cheese, it also produces butter, yogurt and ricotta. In the months when it is managed by the guys it is always open for lunch and dinner by reservation.
The mountain hut is located at an altitude of 1488 m and from here you can reach the panoramic summit of Mount Macaion and the famous Lake Tret.
The hut is open every day from the 15th of June to the end of September.
