Imposing and austere, the mass of the Casa de' Gentili stands guard over the whole of the main square of Sanzeno from its position on the north side.
The main attraction of the Casa de' Gentili is found inside with its enviable collection of period furniture and tools.
Most notable is a large selection of everyday items dating from between the 17th and 19th centuries, including some valuable chests and a set of watercolour paintings depicting the manor houses of the Val di Non.
Of particular interest is the pharmacy room which belonged to the last descendant of the De’Gentili family and which features a garden with various medicinal plants, the pharmacist’s counter and an extensive library.
The recently restored Casa de' Gentili is once again open to the public and also hosts the Val di Non Multimedia installation where you can fly over the valley in a helicopter, seeing everything there is to visit from above and selecting your own hiking route.
