The Maso Sperdossi winery is located in Revò, a pretty village on the steep banks of Lake Santa Giustina. Together with three other wineries in the area, it is committed to the preservation of the native Groppello grape variety, which for centuries has been part of the food and wine heritage of the Val di Non.
The vineyards of the farm are cultivated on the terraces of Maso Sperdossi, overlooking Lake S. Giustina, in Val di Non.
The properties of the soil, the favourable influence of the lake and the cool night breezes contribute to create a particular microclimate, which enhances the scent and aromas of the wines.
Stones protruding from the walls, used as steps are used to move from one terrace to another. Ancient stone staircases are built to facilitate movement within the vineyard, but above all to channel water in case of heavy rainfall.
The Maso Sperdossi winery takes care of small vineyards with hard work and dedication and produces about 4,000 bottles of wine a year: Groppello but also Müller Thurgau and Traminer Aromatico.
Finally, the careful selection of Groppello marc produces Gropela grappa, distilled in a copper boiler using the discontinuous cycle method.
