Adopt an apple tree + Overnight stay at a farmhouse

This is one of our most classic experiences. We have been offering it for many years and we will never change it because we love it as it is, in its simplicity. It works like this: you choose your tree in the spring, give it a name and entrust it to the care of the farmer. When the apples are ripe, we let you know and you come and pick them straight from your tree.

Guests love this type of holiday because it makes them friends with the locals and immerses them in country life. Let me explain how it works:

  1. In spring, from 12 April to 2 June 2024, come to the farm of your choice in Val di Non. You will walk through the orchards with your host farmer, learn about the cultivation of our world-famous apples and choose your own apple tree. To identify it among the thousands of other apple trees, you will be given a plaque to hang on a branch! At the end of the day, enjoy a well-earned afternoon snack of farm produce and conversation with your host family. Choose one of the holiday farms participating in the Adopt an Apple Tree initiative listed at the bottom of this page. Contact them directly and make arrangements for your spring stay.
  2. During the summer, the farmer will keep in touch with you, sending you photos and news about your tree.
  3. In autumn, between September and October, it is time to harvest the ripe apples. Your farm awaits you at the most hectic time of the year: expect the noise of tractors, huge green crates scattered around the orchards, strange machines with motorised arms and a great desire to work. You too will be part of this hustle and bustle: with your wooden crate, you will go in search of your apple tree and it will be your turn to pick apples to take home.

Adopt an apple tree + Two weekends at a farmhouse 2 nights in spring + 2 nights in autumn in one of the participating farmhouses, you'll find them listed at the bottom of the page.
