For me, getting on a road bike is a timeless pleasure. The air I breathe deeply on each ride, the sun that warms me, the landscapes that form the backdrop to my pedalling and the increasing speed: for me, this all means freedom!
I have followed cycling since I was little and can tell you that the Val di Non has always been linked with this sport; does the name Maurizio Fondriest not mean anything? Nowadays, it’s Gianni Moscon and Letizia Paternoster who fly the flag for this valley in Europe and around the world. But equally, this is the perfect valley for taking your first ride.
Crossing the Mendola or Palade passes or the Forcella di Brez is a wonderful experience for anyone who loves cycling and for anyone who is looking for mountain views the loop of the Brenta Dolomites is not to be missed! Having having spent twenty years riding a bike, I find that the best roads are the quieter ones, full of twists and turns which make the climb easier, like the country road which runs from Sanzeno to Revò, from where the views over Santa Giustina lakeand the Novella canyon reward all your efforts.
